A retro sense of a style, a priceless sense of worth

How to Measure Your Child

Chest: To measure the chest of the child, place the tape measure underneath the child’s arm and across the chest or breastbone.

Waist: For the most accurate waist measurement, measure with the tape measure by placing it slightly loose around the child’s waistline. Measure the waist just above the belly button.

Hips: Correctly measure the hips by taking a tape measure and placing it around the child’s hips and buttocks.

Length of Dress: Determine what length of a dress you are purchasing, based on the style selected. We can always customize the length you prefer. For dresses or skirts to the knee, tea length, or floor length, measure with a tape measure from the base of the neck to the knee, mid-calf, or ankle. Please specify whether you measured to the knee, mid-calf, or ankle.

Arm Length: Measure the length of the child’s arm by using a tape measure from the top of the shoulder down to the elbow and all the way down to the wrist for coats or if the outfit is long-sleeved. Also, measure from the underarm down to the wrist. Please specify if the child has longer or shorter than average arms for his or her age.

We hope this has been helpful in determining how to measure your child for our handmade clothing. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions during the measuring process.
